The best support isn't always financial. Our work doesn't stop at raising funds to support the families and programs we aim to serve. We need introductions, we need advocates, we need partners and people passionate about access to the outdoors. All of that comes about in different ways. Help TerraLumia by being our eyes and ears.
You know people. Maybe you work for a company with a giving program. Maybe you sit on a board, know a foundation officer, or have a colleague who controls a philanthropic budget. Maybe you just know someone who knows someone.
Perhaps you know people who have the power to drive change at the city, county, state level or even higher. Perhaps you're aware of an initiative somewhere that could use the power of connection.
Perhaps you know a family or a program who could use our help and don't know that we exist!
Those connections are worth more than you might think. TerraLumia Foundation is a young organization with a clear mission and the infrastructure to put resources to work, we just need to get in the right rooms.

LLUMINATE
The forest school movement is doing extraordinary work quietly, in fields and forests and muddy clearings around the world. Most people have never heard of it. You can change that.
Maybe you think you don't know anyone interested in forest schools, or open to helping. Maybe a friend or coworker just learned about it but is worried it's too "out there' for them and they haven't opened up to people they know about their interest in it. Or maybe they've never heard about it but have always been searching for something different and just didn't know what to ask for!
Talk about it. Post about it. Send this website to someone who has a child, runs a school, manages a team, or makes decisions about where money goes. Share our posts. Share our blog. Tell someone what you learned. Ask a question out loud that makes someone else curious.
Awareness is infrastructure too. Every conversation you start is a seed.

This one doesn't require a connection or a platform or even very much time. It just requires a child and an open door.
Take a walk where there's no agenda. Let them lead. Don't fill the silence. Watch what happens when a curious person is given mud, sticks, rain, and room to wonder. Let it remind you why any of this matters.
You don't need to be a forest school educator to kindle a child's relationship with the natural world. You just need to show up and get out of the way.

Nature-based education doesn't just need donors — it needs advocates. People willing to stand up in a school board meeting and ask why outdoor learning isn't part of the curriculum. People willing to bring it up at work, push for it in their communities, and refuse to accept that screens are the only answer.
You don't have to be an expert. You just have to care enough to say something.
